The onsite monumemt carries this inscription: “Commemorating the Life of Tadeusz Kosciuszko (1746-1817), Polish and American Patriot and Hero, Altruist and Champion of Freedom, Independence, Democracy, and Equality on Two Continents”

(2)  The Foundation to Illuminate America’s Heroes is proud to share a link on it’s website with the Central Connecticut State University’s S.A. Blejwas Chair in Polish and Polish American Studies who joined with the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City, the New England Air Museum and the Government of the Republic of Poland to commemorate the bravery and historic service of the men who served in the famed Kosciuszko Squadron of the Polish Air Force. The centerpiece of these efforts is a permanent exhibit devoted to the Squadron at the New England Air Museum.  CCSU’s Burritt Library will become the repository of a major collection devoted to the history of Polish aviation.  This Web site at  www.ccsu.edu/kosciuszko will serve to present historical and archival information as well as announce upcoming events and exhibits and provide a forum for all those interested in these great but nonetheless forgotten heroes of Poland.
